Story and Chai

My latest blog post in Story and chai is about the top three lessons I’ve learned as a new author and parent.

  1. Accidents are bound to happen.
  2. Let your kids fail.
  3. Messy rooms are sometimes better than clean ones.

Story and chai is a creative space for readers and writers of culturally diverse literature, with a primary focus on Muslim writers and narratives. We’ll feature book reviews and discussions, author interviews, guest posts, and advice on writing and publishing. Our intention is to promote authors and books, as well as to encourage new writers.

You can find out more about story and chai creator Jennifer Zobair here, more about contributor Aisha Saeed here, and more about contributor Mohammed Shamma here. You can also read a welcome post from Jennifer here.

If you are an author who would like to be interviewed on story and chai, or if you’d like to recommend a book for us to feature, please email Jennifer at If you’re interested in writing a guest post on Muslim or multicultural narratives, or any aspect of the writing and/or publishing process (or even a really good piece on tea!) we’d love to hear from you as well.
